Different health programs are conducted for the people of the target villages potentially exposed to health hazards such as noise, chemicals and extreme heat specially those who are involved in hazardous occupations. Awareness programs to prevent these exposures and to minimise the impact on their health forms a crucial part of occupational health and takes place during the health surveillance programs.
Health camps were organised to provide the health care services for anemia, diabetes, arthritis, hyper tension, TB, paralysis, diarrhea and leprosy. Necessary referrals and assistances were given for the infected patients in collaboration with the multispecialty hospitals in Madurai. Medicines for the camps were avail from government, and contributions from other service originations were utilized.
